Gloucester Cathedral Cloister HDR by kippa2001 Gloucester Cathedral Cloister HDR by kippa2001
Here is an hdr photograph taken in the cloister inside Gloucester Cathedral.  Located in Gloucester, Gloucestershire, England, UK.  It was used quite a few times in the Harry Potter films as part of the corridors of Hogwarts.

Thanks Lori. Most of the time I shoot the main nave inside the cathedrals.  Gloucester Cathedral though has some of the best cloisters in the world and mainly went for that.

Thank you for the compliment. :) I am just very lucky to live in the UK which has so many historic places.

Yes, you have wonderful history all around you! Not like here in the U.S.! :(

You still have some cathedrals in the US.  One thing that is really handy to find historic places is google maps.  If you go into your general area any type churches in the search it will bring up all the churches in that area on the map.  It works for other types of buildings as well. :)

Wonderful suggestion about finding historic places using google maps! :)
Unfortunately a lot of the churches here in the U.S. don't like you taking photos inside of them (even with the flash turned off). :(
