Thanks Lori. Most of the time I shoot the main nave inside the cathedrals.  Gloucester Cathedral though has some of the best cloisters in the world and mainly went for that.

Yes, you have wonderful history all around you! Not like here in the U.S.! :(

You still have some cathedrals in the US.  One thing that is really handy to find historic places is google maps.  If you go into your general area any type churches in the search it will bring up all the churches in that area on the map.  It works for other types of buildings as well. :)

Wonderful suggestion about finding historic places using google maps! :)
Unfortunately a lot of the churches here in the U.S. don't like you taking photos inside of them (even with the flash turned off). :(

Hey Mike! You might notice a separate mention with your icon in it when I left a comment for sirius-sdz, and I used this wonderful photo of yours in 3 separate blends:

I think I'm finally also up to speed with your latest deviations, the vertical version actually brought me back to this one =D

Two of them look like lovely water colour paintings.  A very nice work.  I am alright at photography but not that good at manipulations. :)

Thanks Michael, glad you think they look like lovely watercolour paintings :) Have a soft spot for traditional art even though I lack the talent, so it's fun manipulating them through texture blends. After the first one was made, it was pretty easy & straightforward to recreate the other 2. Basically a texture swap where your image served as the same layer mask all throughout. Just the process & experimentation of getting to the first one that was very time consuming because I love testing things out by myself instead of following step-by-step tutorials. Don't know if I told you already, but wish you all the very best for the Holidays and a prosperous New Year :)
