You think that is good, you should be there in person. Cathedrals are awesome. You don't realise how spectacular they are until you are actually inside one. If you like Lichfield Cathedral check out these three out:
I never realised how nice they are inside. I was visiting a city on a day trip and saw that there was a cathedral. So I thought what the hell I'll pop in and see what it is like. It only took a few minutes inside that first cathedral for me to be addicted for the rest of my life.
I have googled it. It reminds me a bit between York Minster and Beverley Minster both of which I have been to. By the way if you like them then you might like more of my photographs from my internal architecture gallery here : [link]
Beautiful - the black and white works excellently here. The only suggestion for improvement I can give is that the photo is a bit tilted to the right. The altar(? - not good with church terminology ) in the background where it meets the floor could be used as a reference to level out the photo. A tripod always helps if you have one along. Also, you can rotate the photo in PS and then crop the sides a bit if you feel like it. Again, wonderful photo!
Thanks! This one is a bit different as all my other cathedral photographs are in colour. There is a reason why this specifically is in black and white though. Earlier on in the day in the chapter house section of the cathedral there was a private musical concert. In that concert they had set up the area and had used some colour lightings, one of the was red. After the show had finished they let the rest of the public (meaning me and others) back into the cathedral. I took this photograph in colour but in the middle on the top of the ceiling it was bright red as the bloody idiots left the lights on from the concert. It looked really wierd having a huge red blotch on the roof in the colour photograph. Luckly when I converted the image to black and white it all looks the same and looks fine. Basically that is why this photograph is in black and white.
